Like, when we experience fear/ anger our muscles will tense and our heart rate will increase. This emotional information stays in our body parts until we can “release” it through somatic practices such as yoga, breath work & sound healing.

Meditation not only allows you to listen to the quiet all-knowing voice inside but it strengthens your ability to perceive sensations in the body (interoception). Interoception is how we start regulating the nervous system and emotions. Once we are aware of the sensations we can then question the meaning we give them and discuss new possibilities for building healthier habits.

Hi, I'm Katie.

As a Yoga & meditation teacher, mindset mentor and author, I am wildly passionate about empowering others with a resilient nervous system. I believe our bodies and minds are desperately seeking ways in which to slow down and that regulating our nervous systems is the beginning of true ease, inner peace and wisdom. I have been hosting retreats since 2019 and I can't wait to share a realistic approach to healing with you.
